Your wheel named it:Friendship

You took the Scorecard, and the wheel did what wheels do — it told the truth. Your Friendship gear came back lowest. That is not a verdict. That is a work order. The lag gear is not where you are worst as a person — it is where the next honest hour of work buys you the most, because it is the one dragging the other seven.

Friendship is the Mirrors — your circle and your church. What you cannot see alone. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 (BSB)

The Read

No serious rider takes the mirrors off his machine to save weight. But that is exactly what driven men do to their lives — quietly, one canceled call at a time, until the circle is gone and they are running blind and calling it strength. I have watched it over and over: the more capable the man, the fewer mirrors he keeps, because capable men can get away without them longer. Right up until they cannot.

Here is the mechanical truth: every vehicle has blind spots BY DESIGN. Yours too. There are things about your marriage, your money, your drift that you are structurally unable to see from the driver’s seat — not because you are weak, but because that is where the seat is. Mirrors are not decoration for the weak. They are equipment for anyone who intends to go fast. And a real mirror is not someone who entertains you. It is someone with standing permission to tell you the hard truth — and iron only sharpens iron on contact. Scheduled, regular, face-to-face contact.

“I’ve got this.”“Who sees what I can’t?”

The first sentence is how strong men crash. The second is how strong men finish.

The 30-Day Move

Reinstall the Mirrors
  1. One call a week to a man who sharpens you — not a text, a call. Four calls in thirty days.
  2. Get planted, not just attending: join one group that meets regularly — a men’s group, a small group, a Bible study. If your church has one, sign up this week. Showing up IS the discipline.
  3. Give one person the hard-truth license. Ask them straight: “What do you see in my life that I am not seeing?” Then do the hard part — write down what they say without defending yourself.
