A low Field score usually means one of two things, and they need opposite medicine. Either you are in the wrong gear for the machine you were built as — strengths sitting unused, a road you never chose — or you are in a workable gear but driving it like a man punching a clock, and the deadness you feel is not the job. It is the posture.
The verse fixes the posture problem outright: whatever you do — the shop, the site, the spreadsheet, the truck — work at it for the Lord and not for men. That one swap changes the physics of a Tuesday. Your supervisor did not issue your talents and does not sign the real check; the Owner did, and does. Excellence stops being about being noticed and starts being about being faithful. And if it is the wrong-gear problem instead: the answer is not to slam the transmission today. It is to start deploying the actual gifts NOW, small and steady, wherever you are — because the next gear gets revealed to men already driving the one they are in with their whole being.
